Aspen Insurance Holdings has reported net income for the fourth quarter of 2007 of $135.2 million, or $1.44 per diluted ordinary share, an increase of 20% over the same quarter of 2006.

Aspen Insurance’s diluted operating income per share is $1.47 compared to $1.22 in the fourth quarter of 2006. The combined ratio was 79.4%, compared to 76.8% in the prior year period. For the full year 2007, the net income was $489 million, up 29.3% during the comparable period of 2006. The company has posted earnings per share of $5.11 for the period, an increase of 36% as against the same period of 2006.
