American Safety Insurance (ASI) has appointed Ken Russo as vice president for excess casualty underwriting.
In his new role, Russo will be responsible for the expansion of ASI’s excess casualty products.
Before joining ASI, he was responsible for establishing the excess & surplus lines division of Hartan Specialty Programs and vice president Excess/Umbrella at Investors Underwriting Managers. He has 40 years of experience in the casualty underwriting market.
ASI senior vice president Ambuj Jain said Ken’s qualifications and background to the casualty underwriting staff will help the firm to further increase awareness of excess casualty capabilities.
"This segment of the market represents an opportunity for the company to grow, and we are confident Ken will be an instrumental part of this endeavor," Jain said.
American Safety Insurance Services provides insurance solutions for specialty risks in underserved markets.
The company offers general liability policies to residential, commercial, and artisan contractors, as well as to manufacturers, distributors, and non-habitational real estate risks.
