Arthur J Gallagher & Co, an insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, has appointed Douglas Brown and Michael Henthorn as its corporate vice presidents.

Mr Brown, who has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, joined the company in 2002 as the head of its Manhattan retail property/casualty office. In 2006, he was promoted to northeast regional manager of Gallagher’s retail property/casualty brokerage operation and is responsible for the management and development of the region’s 12 offices.

Mr Henthorn, who has more 30 years of insurance industry experience, joined Gallagher in 2001 through the acquisition of The InWest Group and became the area president of its Midland and Lubbock, Texas offices. In 2005, he was named managing director of the company’s national energy niche.
