US-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) has acquired California-based Madison Risk & Insurance Services.

Established in 1997, Madison is a retail insurance broker that offers property/casualty and risk management insurance and consulting services specifically for the healthcare industry.

Madison provides coverages for hospitals, individual and group physicians, physician assistants, health systems, nurse practitioners, and allied facilities and providers across the US.

Under the leadership of Gallagher’s western retail property/casualty brokerage operations head, Madison’s Anthony Bowen, Kathryn Bowen and their associates will continue to operate from their current location.

With operations in around 30 countries, AJG provides client-service capabilities in about 140 countries across the globe through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
