Insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co has acquired Gabor Insurance Services and its subsidiary, American Professional Liability Underwriters.

Based in Miami of Florida, Gabor is a managing general agency and excess and surplus lines insurance broker that offers commercial and personal property/casualty insurance products and services to its retail broker clients across the Southeastern US.

Gabor is also specialized in providing commercial property and professional liability products for architects and engineers, lawyers, healthcare and other professionals.

Under the leadership of Gallagher's subsidiary Risk Placement Services president Joel Cavaness, Gabor’s Ronald Gabor, Michael Gabor, Robert Kenney and their associates will operate from the Miami, Sebastian, Boca Raton and Tampa of Florida locations.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. chairman, president and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. said: "We are always looking for partners that promote product alternatives, expand our sales and service presence and align with our key markets.

“Gabor's depth of experience, focus on client service and product specializations will be great complements to Risk Placement Services' niche practice capabilities.

“We are pleased to welcome Ron, Mike, Bob and their team to Risk Placement Services' family of professionals."

In June, Gallagher acquired Wisconsin-based The Buchholz Planning, which offers mployee benefits consulting and brokerage services for middle-market and large businesses and individuals across the US.

With client-service capabilities in about 150 countries, Gallagher provides insurance brokerage and risk management services to its customers.
