Arthur J Gallagher & Co has acquired the UK based retail insurance broker Acumus, for an undisclosed sum.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Huw Thomas, Mark Evans and their associates will keep trading as Acumus and operate from their current location as part of Gallagher Heath, Gallagher’s London-based retail insurance broker, claims the acquirer.
Arthur J Gallagher & Co chairman, president and CEO J Patrick Gallagher, Jr said the firm will continue to find good UK partners that will add depth and help strengthen its London operations.
"The highly experienced team at Acumus will be a strong addition to our public sector practice and an excellent complement to our Gallagher Heath operations," Gallagher, Jr added.

Acumus offers risk consulting and insurance services mainly to the UK housing association sector, including detailed assessments of key risk areas such as liability, flood, fraud and health & safety, to company-wide risk health checks.
