Arthur J Gallagher & Co, an insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, has acquired an James F Reda & Associates, a New York-based executive compensation and corporate governance consulting firm.
Established in 2004, James F Reda & Associates provides executive and corporate governance compensation advisory services including the creation, planning and implementation of base and total cash compensation programs to both publicly-traded and privately-held clients throughout the US.
The company also specialize in the development of total rewards strategies, market reviews, change-in-control and severance analysis, equity strategy and valuation techniques, and assessments of relative company performance.
Following this acquisition, James Reda, founder of the organization, and his staff will continue to operate at their current location under the direction of William Ziebell, North Central Regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
Arthur J Gallagher & Co chairman, president and CEO Patrick Gallagher said that Reda & Associates is highly regarded within the executive compensation arena for their depth of knowledge and proprietary research and is known for their high degree of quality service.
"With their specialized expertise in executive compensation and corporate governance, they will be a terrific complement to our employee benefits brokerage and consulting operation," Gallagher said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
