Arthur J Gallagher International (RAI), a global insurance broker has has acquired the insurance brokerage operations of Alabama-based Robinson-Adams Insurance.

The deal does not include automotive-related businesses, AutoTec, Red Mountain Technologies and Centennial Casualty Company, which will continue to run independently.

Established in 1880, RAI offers commercial property/casualty and risk management insurance services to their clients throughout the US.

The insurance broker also specializes in insurance coverage for long-term health care facilities and the wholesale automobile auction industry.

Arthur J Gallagher said that RAI’s Martha Acker, William Dodson and their associates will continue to operate in their current locations under the direction of Mitchel Brashier, southeastern regional manager of Gallagher’s retail property/casualty brokerage operation.

Arthur J Gallagher Patrick Gallagher president and CEO said its solid Alabama presence, similar culture and strong specializations will be a wonderful complement to the retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
