Bermuda-based underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance product, Argo Group International Holdings has hired Nasurudeen Jameel as senior casualty and professional underwriter of Argo Re (DIFC) in Dubai.
Argo Re (DIFC) senior executive director Tony Cabot said Jameel’s experience in casualty and professional lines business and existing relationships with brokers and insurers add additional strength to the company’s underwriting team as it look to offer expanded product lines in an important, growing market.
Jameel joined Agro from Takaful Re, where he served as a senior underwriter for general insurance business, particularly casualty, property and engineering lines written on both treaty and facultative basis.
Jameel also held various positions with Oman Insurance Company, prior to joining Takaful Re.
Established in September 2011, Argo Re (DIFC) serves as Argo Group’s hub for the MENA Region, focusing on casualty, professional and financial lines insurance.
