Argo Group International Holdings, an underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products, has appointed Ron Vindivich as head of its Excess and Surplus Lines (E&S) casualty division.

Vindivich will be responsible for the company’s strategy and execution in the E&S lines market. He will also continue to serve as head of Colony Specialty’s transportation division.

In this role, Vindivich will report to Michael Fleischer, EVP, chief underwriting officer for Colony Specialty, a division of the E&S segment of the Argo Group.

He joined Colony in 2006 as vice president of underwriting for the industrial casualty division. In 2008, he was appointed VP of brokerage casualty, which combined Colony’s existing industrial casualty, general casualty and excess casualty divisions. He has over 20 years of experience with Chubb, Kemper and CNA.

Argo Group E&S Lines Segment president Lou Levinson said as part of reorganizing E&S business, Ron successfully restructured Colony’s garage and transportation portfolio and built a strong team in the process. His experience and leadership will be a great asset to the company in his expanded role as head of the casualty division.
