Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management and insurance brokerage business of Aon Corporation, has opened its space insurance practice International Space Brokers' (ISB) office in Hong Kong.
Based in Hong Kong, Craig McGilvray, space insurance broker’s senior vice president and regional director for Asia, will assume the responsibility for ISB’s new Asia-Pacific division.
He will also have responsibility for the marketing of space risks to the Asian space insurance community.
McGilvray joined ISB in 2006 and was previously based in Brisbane, Australia, where he developed number of financial and insurance solutions for many Australian companies and established a financial network within Australia and Asia.
ISB CEO Jeffrey Poliseno said the decision to create a presence in Hong Kong was in direct response to those clients and prospects in the region that have called upon the insurance brokerage community to have subject matter experts locally based.
In addition to its Hong Kong operations, ISB maintains a presence in Washington, DC, London, Paris and Madrid.
