Aon Consulting, the human capital consulting organization of Aon Corporation, has acquired Swedish pension management firm Formansoptimering for an undisclosed sum, according to a trade press report.
According to Investment and Pensions Europe’s online news service, Aon’s latest move follows its appointment of 12 new consultants in the country where its hopes to achieve critical size in order to become a leading player in the market by 2007.
The group entered the Swedish market in 2004, claiming it wanted to become market leader there by 2007. Following the recent acquisition the group’s managing director for Sweden, Mats Langensjo, told IPE that Aon is now only a few steps away from achieving this goal.
