Aon has appointed Simon Johnson as the new director in the Aon environmental services group, a unit of Aon Risk Services.
Mr Johnson will coordinate the delivery of the unit’s environmental services to clients in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will be based in London.
Formerly the technical and underwriting director of Certa UK, Mr Johnson was responsible for designing and underwriting a range of environmental insurance and risk transfer products and solutions written by Allianz.
Mr Johnson has an honors degree in civil engineering, a master’s degree in rock mechanics and a doctorate in mining engineering.
