Aon Hewitt, the global human resource consulting and outsourcing business of Aon Corporation, has been appointed by Emap International, to provide risk benefits, private medical insurance consulting and broking services for its employees.

Emap is a business-to-business media group, with 880 employees in the UK and is owned by Apax Partners and Guardian Media Group.

Emap International head of procurement Jason Stead said Emap has a close relationship with Aon’s Risk Solutions business which referred it to Aon Hewitt once the decision had been made to review the benefits arrangements.

"We considered a number of advisers who could provide us with a high-quality service and were impressed by Aon Hewitt’s proven ability to save costs, and the commitment of the team dealing with our account," Stead said.

Aon Hewitt’s Benefits Solutions team operations director Jane Gibbs said Aon is delighted to have this opportunity to take on an ongoing plan solution for a company of Emap’s standing.

"We believe Aon Hewitt can bring innovative and fresh ideas tailored to the needs of their employees," Gibbs said.
