"More and more employers are looking beyond just medical and dental to offer an array of elective benefits that support employees’ overall ‘wellbeing,’ including their physical, financial, emotional and social health," said Cary Grace, CEO of Aon Exchange Solutions. "The Aon Active Health Exchange enables employers to offer the elective benefits most relevant to their employee population in a retail shopping environment, where they can easily compare their elective benefit options and select the plans that are right for them and their families. And, as the largest private health exchange for active employees in the industry, we have the unique ability to leverage the collective buying power of our consumer base, and the broad market power of Aon, to offer rates that are more competitive than what most individuals can get independently or through their employers in a non-exchange structure."

Through the Aon Active Health Exchange, consumers will have access to a robust suite of education and decision support tools to help them purchase the right coverage to meet their individual needs, as well as understand how their elective benefits align with their overall benefits package.

The Aon Active Health Exchange, the only private exchange for large employers that offers fully insured group health plans from multiple insurance companies, is part of the company’s innovative suite of exchange solutions designed to align the interests of the players in the health ecosystem by creating a competitive market for benefits that offers more individuals more choice and transparency over their health benefits.
