Amerisafe, a specialty writer of high hazard workers' compensation insurance, has promoted Geoffrey Banta to president of the company, in addition to his continuing role as COO.
Mr Banta most recently served as the company’s executive vice president and COO since 2008. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and CFO since joining the company in 2003.
Prior to joining the company, Mr Banta held positions of president and CEO from 2001 until November 2003, and COO from 1996 until 2001, at Scruggs Consulting. He also served as CFO of the Atlanta Casualty Companies.
Allen Bradley, chairman of Amerisafe, said: “For the past two years Geoff has served Amerisafe well as chief operating officer and executive vice president.
