Professional liability insurance services provider AmerInst has added security incident and identification theft extension endorsement to its Protexure Accountants' professional liability insurance program.
AmerInst Professional Services chief information officer Pat Cosulich said the endorsement offers protection from a data breach without any cost for small accounting firms.
"United States Fire Insurance Company, a member of the Crum & Forster group of companies and our partner carrier, reimburses the named insured for each security incident."
"Within the policy period, there is a maximum reimbursable amount, regardless of the number of incidents or insureds involved," Cosulich added.
Operating in California, Florida, Indiana, New Jersey and Tennessee, US, the company also serves in Alabama as AmerInst Professional Liability Services.
