American Safety Insurance Holdings has promoted Joseph Scollo to the role of president and COO, and Ambuj Jain to the position of senior vice president of the company's US insurance operations.

In his new role, Mr Scollo will be responsible for the strategic direction and long-term initiatives of the US insurance group, which focuses on providing insurance solutions for specialty classes of risk in both the excess and surplus lines and alternative risk transfer markets.

Formerly, he was executive vice president and COO of the company’s US insurance operations, and will remain as the executive vice president and COO of American Safety Insurance Holdings.

Prior to his promotion, Mr Jain served as the vice president of planning and operations support of the company’s US insurance group. In his new role, Mr Jain will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the strategic initiatives of the US insurance operations including the management and integration of the company’s newly acquired healthcare division.
