To hire 100 additional attorneys in the company' review offices in the US and the Philippines

American Discovery is expanding its insurance litigation practice area. The company is extending its capabilities with the hiring of 100 additional attorneys in its review offices in the US and the Philippines.

With attorneys specialising in insurance litigation, the company claims to provide dedicated legal teams to support client-specific matters.

Michael Ford, Executive Vice President of American Discovery, said: “Litigation can be one of the largest expenses in claim adjudication. Virtually every insurer, third-party administrator, and self-insured company is undertaking initiatives to reduce its litigation costs. American Discovery enhances the litigation process for corporate counsel, staff counsel, panel firms, and claims adjusters by improving efficiency of legal actions and enabling reduction of legal fees by an average of 80%.”

The company stated that the time and expense associated with attorney review or summarisation can be excessive. As some carriers have up to 40,000 open claims, many are adopting new ways to reduce the costs and improve the structure of their legal departments.
