Alteris has signed a partnership agreement with Tangram Insurance Services, a California-based specialty insurance program administrator, to offer a commercial janitorial package program.

According to Alteris, its commercial programs division, headed by Jackie Bourret, vice president, will provide the program management oversight for the janitorial services program.

Tangram has provided property and casualty insurance products for its janitorial program in California and has opted to select the company for its program specialty focus and capability to expand marketing efforts to Arizona, Nevada and Oregon initially, and later to commercial building service industry providers.

Alteris, a new member of Argo Group International Holdings, was recently formed to capture an efficient share of the market by offering managing general agencies and carriers with access to a range of risk solutions for specialty programs and alternative risks.

The company said that Tangram’s janitorial program will be administered from its Petaluma, California headquarters. Its portfolio of coverages, which will be issued by Argonaut Insurance Company, includes general liability, property, inland marine, auto, crime, and excess/umbrella.

Hilbert ‘Van’ Schenck, president of Alteris, said: “Partnering with Tangram gives us an opportunity to add a new class of business to our portfolio. We also gain a trusted, experienced and well-respected business partner with a strong broker network serving businesses in the Western US.”

Rekha Skantharaja, SVP of Tangram, said: “With its program-centric business philosophy, discipline and strength, as well as the backing of its parent company, Argo Group US, we’re able to offer Tangram’s program on a broader scale to our broker network.”
