Alteris Insurance Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Argo Group International Holdings, has completed acquisition of the operating assets and business rights of Mattei Insurance Services.
Alteris president Hilbert Schenck II said the purchase represents an ideal move for the company as Mattei provides complementary products and services in several of the same classes of business the company targets through its own programs.
”This presents an ideal opportunity to extend our geographic footprint on the west coast, building upon our expertise in similar programs on the east coast,” Schenck II added.
As part of acquisition, Alteris will offer wide range of property and casualty insurance for admitted and non-admitted markets, animal mortality, bonds EPLI, excess/surplus lines, farm comprehensive, monoline umbrella, as well as personal and professional liability.
Underwritten by Mattei’s existing carrier markets and distribution partners, and Alteris Insurance Services, the coverages also include railroad protective policies, pasture/feedlot standard P&C placement and workers compensation.
Headquartered in Seattle, Mattei provides a wide range of products and services through Alaska Commercial, Automobile Service and Repair, Fence Contractors, Forest Products, Landscapers Insurance, Moving and Storage, Telecommunication Towers, and Waste and Recycling.
