The Allstate Corporation has announced that Patrick Macellaro, vice president, investor relations, is promoted to president of the Encompass insurance companies.
Macellaro will report to Don Civgin, president, Emerging Businesses. "The Encompass business represents an important part of Allstate's customer-focused strategy," said Civgin. "Pat has acquired broad experience as a regional, financial and product leader, and in spearheading Allstate's investor relations for almost three years. This, along with his diverse background, will serve him well in his new role."

Macellaro has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and finance industry. He originally joined Allstate in 1995 and returned in 2003 after several years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. During his Allstate career, he held various roles in the Finance and Product organizations supporting both home office and agency operations.
Macellaro joined Investor Relations in 2013 and developed positive relationships with the investor community. Promoted to vice president in 2015, Macellaro has managed Allstate's relationship with Wall Street by regularly communicating with analysts and investors to clearly articulate the company's position, strategy and financial performance.
His financial acumen, relationship building and strategic thinking, as well as his experience in driving long-term success, prepared him well to lead Encompass, which provides insurance solutions to mass affluent consumers through independent agencies.
Macellaro earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Joseph's College, Long Island, New York and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Encompass provides its signature package policy in a number of states, as well as other personal insurance products to consumers with extensive protection needs.
