Allied World North America, part of Allied World Assurance, has introduced a primary general liability coverage in the Canadian market.
The new primary general liability team will offer capacity for a wide range of business classes, including industries such as real estate, retailers, service industries, manufacturers, light or moderate chemical manufacturing and reverse flow business.
Allied World North America senior vice-president and Canada branch manager Gord Kerr will handle the team underwriting the product, while casualty assistant vice-president Mark Bryant will be the day-to-day contact for the team.
Kerr said: "We continue to expand our product offerings in the Canadian market, with our new primary general liability product complementing our existing excess casualty coverage.
"The additional casualty layer will provide our trading partners with a more extensive solution for their clients."
In November 2014, Allied World North America introduced Privacy and Network Security insurance product, Privacy//101, in the Canadian market.
