Allied World Assurance has introduced a new liability coverage service to meet the requirements of Accountable Care Organization (ACO).

As new emerging healthcare organizations, ACOs are characterized by a payment and care delivery model that integrate provider reimbursements to quality metrics and reductions in the total cost of care for an assigned population of patients.

Allied World US Healthcare practice lead senior vice president Cindy Oard said, "Allied World’s ACO policy will allow insureds to customize and build an array of coverages that fit their specific exposures and risk purchase appetite, while ensuring that gaps are reduced."

In addition to built-in risk management components, the new flexible, modular coverage comprises of errors and omissions liability, regulatory claims coverage and medical professional liability including general liability.

Using a combined form to enable ACOs to minimize grey areas, the solution also provides privacy liability and network risk, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability and crime coverage.
