Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has named Jason Wellmann as the new senior vice president of life insurance sales.
In his new role, Wellmann will be responsible for leading Allianz life insurance strategy through all the distribution channels.
Wellmann joined Allianz earlier this year as vice president of branch office development, working with Questar Capital, a division of Allianz Life, and its branch office managers at each Allianz Distribution Group field marketing office.
Prior to joining Allianz, Wellmann spent five years with Securian Financial Group as vice president of field recruitment. Before that he also held other sales leadership roles with Jefferson Pilot and Prudential.
Allianz chief distribution officer Tom Burns said that the appointment of Jason Wellmann will bring a wealth of experience that be crucial in developing and driving the company’s life insurance sales strategy.
