Allianz Life Insurance Company (Allianz) has appointed Ross Bowen as the vice president of profitability management. He will be responsible for managing and monitoring the profitability of the company's block of business, collaborating with various financial functions to develop a profitability management strategy.

Mr Bowen has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial industries. Prior to joining Allianz, he served as vice president of risk and value management for Phoenix Wealth Management, responsible for developing hedging programs and strategic asset allocation of fixed income portfolios. He also held vice president positions at Conning Asset Management.

Neil McKay, chief actuary at Allianz Life, said: “This is an important role that will help Allianz Life maintain our strong financial health and promise to our customers. We’re thrilled to have Ross join the Allianz team and expand this function into a crucial part of our larger financial planning and analysis group.”
