Allianz, which offers insurance, banking and asset management products and services, has announced that Markku Wilenius, will join Allianz in Munich as senior vice president on December 1, 2007.
Mr Wilenius, a leading professor of futures studies, was director of the Finland Futures Research Center for a number of years. He is also a member of the executive board of the Club of Rome, the international non-governmental organization promoting long-term global thinking and action.
Within Allianz’s group development department, Mr Wilenius’ tasks will include fundamental and trend research, as well as intensifying the Allianz group’s academic network.
