Allianz has appointed Kamesh Goyal as the new regional CEO for the Middle East and north Africa.
Mr Goyal will continue to be country manager for India and CEO of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. The appointment of Mr Goyal is subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory bodies.
In addition, Abdul Tolefat will become the new CEO for Allianz Takaful Bahrain. Sam Ghosh, the current regional CEO for the Middle East and north Africa, will give up his position in order to assume an assignment outside of the Allianz Group.
Werner Zedelius, member of the board of management of Allianz, responsible for the Middle East region, in addition to Asia Pacific and new Europe, said: I believe our Middle East region, where Allianz enjoys a very good reputation, will benefit from Kamesh’s know-how and expertise in managing India as the biggest growth driver of the region.
