Australia's private health insurance provider Medibank has partnered with Allianz Worldwide Care to offer fully compliant healthcare plans to its group clients who have expatriate members based in Australia.

Allianz Worldwide Care Marketing and Operations sales director Claude Daboul said the partnership is part of an overall strategy to provide global healthcare services for its multinational clients with staff based in multiple continents.

"They will have access to the largest private medical network in the country, with the convenience of direct settlement facilities for both in-patient and out-patient treatment," Daboul added.

Allianz Worldwide Care enables clients to create an international healthcare plan from a range of in-patient, out-patient and dental benefits as per their requirements.

The company provides international health insurance for employees, individuals and their dependants, across the globe.

As the service provider for publicly funded and available services including healthdirect Australia, Medibank directly deliver almost 600,000 clinical services on an annual basis.
