Allianz Retail, a division of Allianz, has appointed Simon Masding as new head of sales and partnerships for its Speciality Retail division.
In this newly created position within the Speciality Retail senior management team will focus on continuing to build and strengthen the insurer’s relationships with customers, partners and professional bodies for its industry leading pet insurance brand Petplan and Allianz Musical Insurance.
Masding has 20 years of experience working for Kraft Foods in senior marketing, trade marketing and sales roles in both business to consumer and business to business environments. He will bring a wealth of experience to Allianz Retail and a strong track record of driving consistent sales growth.
Most recently, Masding worked for Mars Drinks as a consultant on their European business portfolio.
Allianz Retail director of Petplan Neil Brettell said the company is excited to have Simon onboard as the company look to continue to strengthen the market-leading position across its core sales channels.
"These channels are integral parts of our business and I believe this new position will allow us to develop even more value-added relationships with our customers, partners and professional bodies," Brettell said.
