Allianz Life Insurance of North America (Allianz Life) has appointed Tom Mundt as the new vice president of Infrastructure in the IT division.
Mundt will spearhead overall infrastructure strategy, including assessing hardware and software options, managing provider relationships, and providing incident management for Allianz Life, the insurer said.
Additionally, he will also serve as the key IT contact with the parent company, Allianz SE, and will report to the senior vice president, chief information officer, Jeff Palm.
Palm said, "In addition to leading global process improvements, he’s also served key clients in multiple industries ensuring top-of-the-line quality and service delivery."
Prior to Allianz Life, Mundt worked as a senior executive with Accenture in Minneapolis, for eight years, and managed the delivery of IT infrastructure outsourcing services to more than 70 North American clients.
Before Accenture, Mundt was a senior executive for four years with Best Buy Co, where he led more than 450 IT professionals, contractors, and third-party service providers.
