Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has named Sarah Schaus as the new assistant vice president of treasury.
In this new role, Schaus will lead the team responsible for accounts payable, cash management, banking relationships, cash-related accounts and ledgers, suspense reconciliations, and unclaimed property.
Schaus will also oversee all treasury related functions for Allianz of America, including Allianz Life and its subsidiaries and Fireman’s Fund and its subsidiaries.
Schaus, who will report directly to CFO Giulio Terzariol, joined Allianz Life in February 2009 as director of treasury and assistant treasurer.
Prior to Allianz, Schaus was director of cash operations at GMAC Mortgage and also served as operations manager for US-based Cherry Creek Mortgage.
Terzariol said that as Allianz Life continues to grow, it’s important that the firm has strong leadership in place to manage a number of crucial functions within Treasury.
