Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has entered into strategic partnership with seven broker/dealers to add its Allianz Retirement Pro Variable Annuity, to their advisory platforms.

The insurer said that the product is specifically designed to help people accumulate, preserve, and distribute their retirement assets and for clients who work with a fee-based investment advisor.

Allianz Life has expanded the dedicated team supporting the product, led by Corey Walther, head of investment relations and fee-based distribution for Allianz Life Financial Services.

Since taking on his new role in January, Walther partnered with Allianz Life’s broker/dealer relationship management team to bring additional broker/dealers on board and recruited wealth management professionals to educate advisors about the product and various benefits.

Previously available only through LPL Financial, Retirement Pro, the insured retirement solution, will now be offered through Cambridge Investments, Advisor Group (representing Royal Alliance, SagePoint and FSC Securities), Commonwealth Financial Network and Valmark Securities.

Recent additions to the team include: Jay Rosoff, formerly with Allianz Global Investors, with responsibility for the Northeast region.

Allianz Life’s regional vice president, Ryan Hurley has been assigned with responsibility for West region, and Mike Nicola, formerly senior vice president of fund partner relations, for the Central region.
