Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, part of Allianz group, has promoted Jim Jordan as new senior counsel and senior director of Government Relations.
In this new role, Jordan will be responsible for advancing the company’s key legislative and regulatory priorities, and continuing to build strong relationships with regulators, policymakers and legislators.
Jordan joined Allianz Life in 2009 as counsel, focusing on regulatory matters affecting the company and its wholly-owned retail broker/dealer. Prior to that, he served as staff attorney and assistant director for Policy and Research for the Illinois Department of Insurance.
Gretchen Cepek, vice president of Legal for Allianz Life said that Jim brings a wealth of talent and experience to his new role.
"He will drive initiatives important to our industry and, under Jim’s leadership, we look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with the key industry associations," Cepek said.
