Allianz Legal Protection (ALP), part of the retail division of Allianz Insurance, has appointed Basil Anderson as key account developer within its before-the-event (BTE) insurance team.
In this new role, Basil will manage the development of a panel of BTE strategic legal protection accounts, including the responsibility of generating new solutions, identifying and delivering new business opportunities, and delivering top-line growth and profit.
Basil will join Allianz from GE Capital Equipment Finance where he worked as an account manager. Prior to this, he worked as a team leader at Royal & Sun Alliance where he managed the investments of key strategic partners.
ALP BTE business development manager Steve Rowley said ALP is always looking to provide profitable products and services that are valued by customers and their policyholders, Basil’s experience in strategic account management will play a key role in facilitating this moving forward.
ALP specializes in providing legal expenses insurance and services to customers through appointed brokers and intermediaries. It offers personal and commercial legal protection products through appointed intermediaries as well as through specialist schemes for solicitors and affinity groups.
