Alliant Insurance Services has announced that veteran insurance executive Melissa Sowa has joined the firm's ProQuest law firm specialty practice as vice president and will focus on expanding ProQuest's business in the Northeast, with a specific focus on the New York market.
Ms Sowa has 17 years of experience in meeting the professional liability needs of law firms on both the brokerage and underwriting sides of the market. Prior to joining ProQuest, she served as National Law Firm Placement Leader at Marsh USA, where she managed the professional liability insurance placement strategies for law firm clients.
Ms Sowa earned her bachelor of science degree in marketing and psychology from Kings College in Wilkes Barre, Penn., and her MBA with a concentration in marketing from Wilkes College.
