Alliant Insurance Services, a specialty insurance brokerage firm, has appointed Joe Marchese as new senior vice president. Marchese will be based in its New York office.

Marchese, with an insurance and benefits career of over 32 years, specializes in the upper middle benefits market with an emphasis on public entities and non-profits.

Prior to joining Alliant, he served as area executive vice president and lead consultant for benefit operations of five global insurance brokerage firms.

Marchese’s career encompasses various sales, management, and consulting positions with Gallagher Benefit Services of New York, Marsh McLennan, and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Alliant chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said Marchese brings a wealth of benefits experience to Alliant Insurance Services, and his focus on public entities and non-profits is a great match with the company, which serves more than 7,000 public entity clients nationwide.

"Over the years, Joe has built an outstanding reputation for sales performance, business leadership and personalized client service, and his expert knowledge of the public entity and non-profit marketplace in the New York and mid-Atlantic region will be a great asset in expanding our benefits business in this key market,"Corbett said.

Alliant provides property and casualty, workers’ compensation, employee benefits, surety, and financial products and services to some 20,000 specialized clients nationwide, including public entities, tribal nations, healthcare, energy, law firms, real estate, construction, and other industry groups.
