US-based specialty insurance brokerage firm Alliant Insurance Services has purchased Todd Garibaldi Insurance Agency (TGI).

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

According to Alliant, the deal is part of the firm’s growth plan to focus on specialty industries such as agribusiness, construction, public entity, energy, tribal nations, and employee benefits.

Alliant Insurance Services chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said: "A proven success story in California’s Central Valley, TGI continues the ongoing growth of Alliant’s Agribusiness offering.

"This acquisition affirms our commitment to combining best-in-class products and services with local market knowledge and targeted industry expertise."

Founded in 2002, TGI offers risk advice on a full range of insurance products such as crop, general liability, workers’ compensation, automobile, life and property insurance.

The agency has different customers, including farmers, wineries, and restaurants, as well as fruit and vegetable growers, packagers and processors.

In addition, the firm helps clients to understand and purchase comprehensive employee healthcare insurance.

TGI will operate as a division of Alliant, while its Garibaldi will join as senior vice-president of Alliant agribusiness and food services.
