Alliant Insurance Services, a specialty insurance brokerage firm, has appointed Cindi Heffernan as the first vice president in the the Seattle, Washington office.
Heffernan will join Alliant with 29 years of industry experience, including underwriting, brokerage account management, sales, marketing, and program development.
As managing director and port practice leader with the Seattle office of a national insurance brokerage, and previously as national practice leader with Marsh, Heffernan has specialized in the port industry for more than 15 years.
Heffernan is a member of several port associations and belongs to the American Association of port authorities Financial and risk management committees.
Alliant chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said Heffernan has extensive experience in meeting the highly specialized insurance needs of the port industry and will be an outstanding asset in expanding the business with port and marine clients.
"Cindi has been instrumental in the development of programs, services, and manuscript policy wording used to provide comprehensive insurance products and risk management services unique to the port industry," Corbett said.
