US-based insurance brokerage firm Alliant Insurance Services has acquired North Idaho Insurance, for an undisclosed sum.

North Idaho Insurance is a regional insurance agency, which offers personal lines, commercial lines, and employee benefits products and services to clients in the Inland Northwest.

Alliant Insurance Services chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said: "Alliant is dedicated to establishing a leadership position in the Inland Northwest.

Established in 1978, North Idaho Insurance also provides health and life insurance plans for both individuals and businesses.

The Idaho firm offers a full spectrum of personal and commercial insurance solutions, including workers’ compensation, general liability, commercial property, inland marine, public entity and others.

The acquired business will be included in Alliant Americas, which was launched in January 2014 to expand firm’s operations in the middle market through strategic acquisitions and investments.

In September 2014, Alliant acquired insurance brokerage firm Moloney O’Neill that provides property and casualty, employee benefits, and life products and services.
