Program provides broad coverage for attorneys and includes crisis management coverage to help mitigate damage to a law firm’s reputation

AIU Holdings’ Executive Liability Division, venturing with Administrators for the Professions of Delaware (AFPD), has launched a comprehensive Lawyers Professional Liability Program meant for firms with 25 to 100 attorneys.

This program provides broad coverage for attorneys and includes crisis management coverage to help mitigate damage to a law firm’s reputation, said the company.

Tracie Grella, president of Professional Liability, said: “Attorneys need efficient and far-reaching protection against the damaging effects professional liability claims can have on both their finances and reputations. Our new program delivers that protection across the broad range of professional liability exposure that lawyers face.”

The program, offered through AFPD, covers a firm’s partners, employed attorneys, attorneys under contract from an outside agency and independent contractors, for claims that allege wrongful acts, errors or omissions arising from the provision of legal services.

Crisis management coverage provides up to $50,000 toward the fees of a public relations firm, to manage media communications in response to a professional liability claim, said AIU.
