American International Group (AIG) has appointed Jim Dwane as its new president and CEO of its property casualty business in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Dwane, who will be based in the company’s regional offices in Miami, will report to Robert Schimek, president and CEO of AIG Property Casualty’s Americas region.

He will be responsible for the AIG property casualty business operations in the 15 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Dwane has been with AIG for almost 20 years and most recently served as regional president of AIG Property Casualty’s southeast region of the US.

Since 1937, AIG Property Casualty has been operating in Latin America and the Caribbean.

AIG is the marketing name for the worldwide property-casualty, life and retirement, and general insurance operations of American International Group.
