Ag States Group, an insurance and risk management subsidiary of CHS, has appointed Keith Illa as president of Ag States Group, with effect from 1 February 2012.

Illa will report to Lynden Johnson, CHS executive vice president, Business Solutions and he will be responsible for leading the full-service insurance organization.

He succeeds Corwin Tufte, who served as president of Ag States Group and its predecessor companies for the past 20 years. Illa joined Ag States Group in 2008 as sales director.

Before joining Ag States, he spent 10 years with Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance/Farmland Mutual Insurance Company and held a variety of sales and management level positions.

Ag States Group, is a full-service insurance organization with a broad complement of coverage programs, is licensed in most US states and operates in major 70 markets.

The insurance company offers a full line of commercial insurance products including property/casualty, as well as group benefits for life, health, dental and disability plans. Ag States Group also provides customized loss control and safety programs, along with employment services programs.
