Health insurer Aetna and OSS Orthopaedic Hospital have signed a new three-year contract, expanding network access for Aetna members in York County.

Under this agreement, Aetna members can receive covered benefits, at in-network rates, from OSS Orthopaedic Hospital.

Aetna also renegotiated existing contracts with OSS Ambulatory Surgery Center and the 24-physician Orthopoaedic and Spine Specialists physicians group. The terms of these contracts will run concurrently with the new hospital contract.

Aetna vice president of network operations for the Central Pennsylvania market Joseph Petonak said with this agreement, all four hospitals in York County now participate in Aetna’s network, providing members with great flexibility.

OSS CEO Todd Lord said that OSS is excited to partner with Aetna to continue to meet the orthopaedic and spine needs of Aetna’s members in York County and its surrounding areas.
