To fuel its business intelligence and CRM initiative

Aditya Birla Financial Services Group (ABFSG), a member of Aditya Birla Group, has selected data warehouse appliance from Teradata, to fuel its business intelligence (BI) and customer relationship management (CRM) initiative.

The company said that the BI and CRM initiative will provide insights for all sales, marketing and customer service-related business units within the financial services group. The goal of this initiative is to gain a better understanding of customers across the financial services businesses in order to provide better, relevant and timely service to its customer base.

Gopalakrishnan, chief operations officer for financial services at Aditya Birla Group, said: “We were looking for a technology vendor with proven expertise, an understanding of our business and one that can meet our growing demands. Teradata has proven to be the best fit.”

Ashok Ekbote, country manager of Teradata India, said: “Aditya Birla Financial Services is our first major customer in India to select the Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance.
