ACE Westchester, the US-based wholesale-focused property and casualty operation of the ACE Group, has appointed Bruce Kessler as the new president of its casualty and specialty lines business.
Based in Atlanta, Mr Kessler will be responsible for new business development, strategic direction and implementation of underwriting strategy and product development of all casualty, environmental, transportation, and management and professional liability products and services.
Mr Kessler will report to Dennis Crosby, president and CEO of ACE Westchester, and chairman of ACE Commercial Risk Services, a newly-established division that provides specialty products and solutions to small businesses in North America.
Mr Kessler has more than 28 years of insurance industry experience, and recently has served as executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of Insurance-North America, a position he held since July 2005. He previously held the position of senior vice president of global reinsurance at ACE Tempest Re.
