ACE Global Markets, a UK-based specialty insurer, has appointed Russell Burgess as the new underwriting manager of its accident and health portfolio.
Mr Burgess will be responsible for the strategic underwriting direction of the ACE Global Markets accident and health portfolio. He will also lead product development initiatives and direct new business strategy. Mr Burgess will report directly to Matthew Shaw who was recently appointed chief underwriting officer for ACE Global Markets.
Mr Burgess joins ACE from the Chubb Insurance Company of Europe where he was the senior accident and health underwriter.
Mr Shaw said: Russell brings with him an expert understanding of this specialist product line within both the UK corporate and London insurance market. As a pre-eminent global specialty insurer, I am confident Russell will play a key role in the future expansion of our accident and health business.
