To strengthen its ability to deliver strategies and meet requirements of marine marketplace
The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies has consolidated its commercial marine and inland marine business units in ACE USA, its US-based retail operating division.
Bruce Jervis has been appointed as executive vice president of commercial & inland marine, and will set the overall direction and strategy for the newly formed unit. He will report to Paul McNamee, president of ACE North America Property & Specialty.
Reporting to Mr Jervis, Bob Gallozzi will continue in his role as senior vice president, commercial marine, and lead ACE USA’s delivery of marine cargo, hull and liability strategies to the marketplace.
Mr Jervis most recently served as senior vice president of ACE USA’s retail inland marine unit, a position he has held since March 2007. Prior to this he held the position of vice president, inland marine, ACE Westchester Specialty.
Mr McNamee, said: “This new unit combining commercial and inland marine risks will build upon existing portfolios and provide the opportunity for greater growth and innovation, further strengthening our ability to deliver our strategies and meet the unique needs of the specialized marine marketplace.
