The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies (ACE) has appointed Kenneth Riegler as president of multinational client group for North America and president of ACE USA foreign casualty.

As head of North American Multinational Client Group, Mr Riegler will be responsible for leading delivery and servicing of the company’s commercial property and casualty insurance capabilities. He will work with Michael Furgueson, president of multinational client group, ACE Overseas General, to coordinate ACE’s global approach to this market segment.

As president of ACE USA Foreign Casualty, Mr Riegler will oversee ACE USA’s foreign casualty products for US-based multinational companies, including international advantage suite of products, from packaged coverages to enterprise solutions with controlled master programs and risk transfer options, and defense base act (DBA) insurance. He will have overall strategic responsibility for the group’s underwriting, marketing, and field operations.

Mr Riegler will be based in New York and will report to John Lupica, chief operating officer of Insurance-North America, and also will work with ACE’s US product lines, regional operations team, and the newly formed global client executive unit to deliver the company’s insurance products and services.

Mr Riegler joined ACE USA in 1999, and most recently served as executive vice president of ACE risk management commercial accounts. He previously held various management positions with Reliance National Insurance Company’s national risk management division, and New Jersey Manufacturer’s Insurance Company.
