The ACE Group has appointed Ed Zaccaria as president of ACE USA's regional operations.

In this role, Mr Zaccaria will have responsibility for driving national and local distribution strategies as well as expanding ACE USA’s product and marketing presence throughout the country.

In addition, he will assume leadership of ACE USA’s regional executive management team. Mr. Zaccaria will continue to oversee ACE’s global client executive initiative, and, in this capacity, he will continue to report jointly to John Lupica, chief operating officer, Insurance-North America, and John Keogh, CEO of ACE Overseas General.

Mr Zaccaria has more than 30 years of diverse experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, and has served in several senior management roles at ACE, including most recently as president, ACE global client executives. His previous experience at ACE includes leading ACE USA’s global underwriting group.

John Alfieri has been named president, ACE global client executives, in addition to his current role as regional executive officer of ACE USA’s New York region, reporting to Mr Zaccaria.

Mr Alfieri will oversee ACE’s team of senior-level client executives in major markets around the world and will work closely with ACE’s multinational client group headed by Ken Riegler in North America, and Michael Furgueson internationally.

Mr Alfieri has nearly 30 years of experience in risk management and insurance. Since 2004, he has served as senior vice president and regional executive officer for ACE USA’s New York region.
